In about a week and a half, we'll be leaving for England! Everyone is excited and anxious to get going and meet the teens we'll be working with while we're there. The past couple of weeks have been filled with meetings for drama, prayer, worship team, and the group as a whole. All the team members have been working hard to prepare themselves for this trip, and we can't wait to see how God will work through us during our time in the UK.
The worship team practices have been going well. While on the retreat, we'll be leading the teens in worship before the messages. After compiling a list of over ten songs, the member of the worship team have been practicing the music together. The rest of the team has been typing up the lyrics for the powerpoint. We can't wait to experience leading teens in worshipping God while in England.
Another big part of our ministry will be skits and dramas before the messages. While we have some smaller skits to work on, we're gotten a lot accomplished on our two main skits. A meeting especially for the skits was held today, and we were able to get a lot done. The texting skit needs some working through, but has the potential to powerful and really affect those we're ministering to. Our other main skit is going great, and we're almost done. Our tech team was actually able to take a video of the skit; the link to it is at the bottom of this post. We hope that this drama, titled "Bondage", has a serious impact on the group at the Hillhouse retreat.
Please continue to pray for our team as we prepare for our work in the UK. During our trip, please pray for the health and safety of those in our group, and that everyone will be able to function at their best. Also, please pray for those we will be ministering to, that God will work in their hearts during the trip. Thank you for all of your prayers and financial support! We'll be giving you more updates as we prepare for the trip while we're in England. And don't forget to check out the link to watch our team practice the "Bondage" skit.
